Jayhwan Kim was born in 1993, acquired a Bachelor’s degree from Oberlin conservatory and currently holds a Master Degree from Seoul National University studying with Professor Hee-Sung Joo. His teachers include Jungwon Moon and Haewon Song. He studied Forte Piano with David Breitman. He also studied Harpsichord with Mark Edward. He has performed in South Korea and United States in venues such as Mozart Art Hall, Yamaha Art Center, U jung Art Hall, Kulas Hall, Warner Concert Hall and Finney Chapel. Kim also played for Honors concert of Oberlin Conservatory in New York. He has played in master classes with artists such as Paul Badura-Skoda, Ralf Gothoni, Ursla Oppens, Edward Auer, Dang Thai Son, Peter Frankl, Martino Tirimo, William Bill Nabore, Fabio Bidini and others. He is a prizewinner of several competitions, including Music Association of Korea Competition, Seoul Arts Association Competition, Nanpa Music Competition, MTNA Competition (Honorable mention).
